DOWNPOUR

6-25-2016--today's guests caught 6 trout and missed twice that many early. We had to leave a good trout bite because of an approaching storm. Storm cells were on three sides of us leaving only one way to go. We ended up at Cove Harbor and the storm hit just after the guests got inside but before I could get tied up. After getting under cover I counted the seconds between lightening and thunder. The sound was coming between the count of 1 and 2. Another guide who arrived later said he saw lightening strike a sailboat at dry dock about 200 yards away from us. At that time his fishing rods were humming.
When we got back to fishing our trout bite had ended. Picture is of the Cove Harbor dock where 20 to 30 boats sought refuge.
