BEAUTIFUL CALM DAY

1-20-2016--

FAST FALLING TIDE

1-22-2016--Water level was low this morning and falling.  We opted to anchor at a location where redfish normally congregate when the tide falls out.  Immediately, it was fish on.  My one guest limited before eight AM and went on to catch and release two more limits of reds up to 27 1/2 inches.

COLD WATER REDFISH

1-5-2016--Water temperature was 48 degrees this morning.  We had the bay to ourselves.  Only saw one other fisherman and that was as we were quitting for the day. Used a new bait called "Gulp Ripple Mullet".  It proved to be exceptional.  Caught an undersized red on the first cast.  Offered a ripple mullet to the other fisherman but he didn't accept one until the third cast bought in the third fish. Caught 12 reds 12 casts before missing one. Altogether we caught well over 50 redfish up to 31 inches.  Released the reds and kept two trout and one black drum for dinner.
