6-30-2016--Most of the trout in picture were caught on artificial lures. Many more limits of keeper trout were released. David caught all his trout on a Rapala Green Mullet. Nancy caught several trout on a voodu shrimp. We pulled up to one place where I baited Nancy with a croaker. When they threw out I tossed out a spook junior. All three of us hooked up with keeper trout. David had a trout on each of the green mullet hooks so we landed 4 fish at once. I'm generally impressed with a double hookup. Hooking 4 fish at once was a new one for me.

SURF TROUT
6-28-2016--Today's guests limited on 18-20 inch trout in 30 minutes. It took longer to get to the fishing location than it did to catch limits of fish. David caught all his limit on artificial lures. At first the top water got strikes every cast. As the sun started up the top water bite faded and he switched to a soft plastic.
DOWNPOUR
6-25-2016--today's guests caught 6 trout and missed twice that many early. We had to leave a good trout bite because of an approaching storm. Storm cells were on three sides of us leaving only one way to go. We ended up at Cove Harbor and the storm hit just after the guests got inside but before I could get tied up. After getting under cover I counted the seconds between lightening and thunder. The sound was coming between the count of 1 and 2. Another guide who arrived later said he saw lightening strike a sailboat at dry dock about 200 yards away from us. At that time his fishing rods were humming.
When we got back to fishing our trout bite had ended. Picture is of the Cove Harbor dock where 20 to 30 boats sought refuge.

DOUBLE CAUGHT
5-24-2016--Four guests caught 20 trout and 3 redfish. The biggest redfish swallowed two baits that were about 20 feet apart so it was caught by two fishermen.

STORM FISHING
EARLY BITE
6-18-2016--The three guests limited with 15 trout before 7 AM this morning. It was a good thing we started early because other guides later told me the bite slowed a lot after that.
