Surf slows

May 31, 2009--Another beautiful day but with less tide the bite in the surf slowed. Caught about 15 trout up to 24 and 1/2 inches.

Three for thirty

May 30, 2009---Fish are still in the surf but the bite has slowed. The three fishermen caught 30 trout today but it took longer than previous trips to the surf and there was no time left to troll for ling. Trout are still large on the average but smaller than earlier this week. Caught and released several shark including 2 hammerheads. Beautiful day on the water.

Big trout

May 28, 2009--Fished the ship channel spoils near Ingleside for large trout. Biggest was a yellow mouthed female at 28 and 1/4 inches. Caught all the bigger fish on croaker although there was a good bite from smaller fish on bone diamond bass assassins.

Surf Trout

May 26, 2009--Caught our trout early in the surf off the second bar. Still no signs of redfish in lthe surf. After the trout we trolled for ling and kings to no avail.
