Slow bite today but two guests managed 5 keeper reds and 1 really nice 6 pound flounder. They also released a lot of small reds. It took 3 to 4 anchors for each redfish.

 

LOOKING FOR TROUT, FOUND REDS

10-14-2016--Guests had three oversized Reds on at same time today. Released 4 oversized reds up to 37 1/2 inches and kept 3 smaller reds for dinner along with some trout. Also, released 5 sharks.

ARTIFICIAL BAIT BEST TODAY

10-7-2016--Went looking for fish because I have charters the next two days. Managed to buy a little fresh dead mullet and shad. Got no bites on cut bait probably because the water was too still and clear. After the third stop I decided to try drifting with artificial lures. One of the bait casters on the boat was rigged with soft plastic that someone had left on my rod so I threw it out. Ended up catching and releasing 4 keeper reds and 2 keeper trout before 9:30. Also, caught several small reds, trout and perch and the lure is still good. With the North wind starting tonight things will be all different tomorrow but at least I know two areas that had fish today.

CODY'S TRIP

10-1-2016 -- Cody and I switched places today. He took 4 fisherman and they ended the day with 13 redfish 2 whiting and 1 trout

 

REDS ARE BACK

8-10-2016-- We spent a slow morning fishing for trout. We moved to a redfish area about noon and the bite was on.
